A total of 15 SoulPedal production units were hand/machine made in my home (soldered, CNC machined, 3D printed, cut, cast, cured, marked, serialized, painted, assembled, and tested). Only 7 units have the Wah built-in and all were painstakingly made for market interest which was quite high. However, additional production is not planned due cost of labor in the US. The remainder are for sale and are quite rare and highly reliable. Still zero field failures on this design. Components and equipment to produce additional units are still in-house, just in case the right person comes along. Custom projects also welcome.

This is an untapped artform. Creative performers, read on. I just need one amazingly talented user.

So far, half of the 15 were sold at NAMM and online before some personal life changes happened. Last year, I learned I have a 45 year old son with grandkids in Fla (DNA match). Best thing ever! Water Skiing is back on. On top of that, my wife retired so the break from 24/7 SoulPedal has been refreshing.

This product was more about personally making the most amazing pedal on earth, learning, and using new tools. In fact, these were built on the world’s first Hybrid Printer/CNC of it’s kind. The Pedal is an extremely lightweight and flexible TPU printed outer, with a core that can be swapped for different outer sizes or even the other foot (left foot is special request only).

As products go, the remaining few are very functional and useful. Right away, it’s a remote control for Expression and MIDI using simple gestures, pressure or foot angle, and provides full remote control on practically any rig with simple Exp or MIDI in. You don’t even need the Box on stage.

The Audio version also includes an Analog Wah using authentic Crybaby components isolated by a “light curtain” (optical isolator), tone ranges, LED feedback, and optional Haptic vibrations make this about as ideal as it gets. Press the Box pad and the color says which effect it’s ready to control. Wah, Volume, Expression, and/or MIDI, basic or custom. All models have foot control dynamics (feel) are adjustable live on the Box with simple knobs.

Once you have the hang of it, download the SoulPedal Board App (Windows) for some eye-opening original setup features. Animations that match foot motions real-time let you see the actions in Monitor Mode. Switch to the Pedal or Box Controller for specifics on everything you could possibly think of where virtual controls are needed.

Being so advanced (in depth features as a product) these units are not completely intuitive. The pressure needs to respond naturally, so shoe fitting is important. It comes calibrated and ready to use, software not needed. But if you insert the battery it needs to sit still for 3 sec and after a couple days it will eventually run out until you get into some of the battery saving features, and remove when not in use is best. Since the docs are not enough, I provide an open line and have been known to show up in person to help setup.
